ROMAIN ALMAIRAC

Romain Almairac entered perfumery through a family immersed in fragrance creation, yet his route to the laboratory was deliberately indirect. He joined Robertet and spent roughly fifteen years in commercial roles, working closely with perfumers and clients before becoming a perfumer himself. That experience gave him a practical understanding of briefs, markets, and the language customers use to express ideas. He also helped establish Parle Moi de Parfum with his brother Benjamin, presenting compositions by their father, Michel Almairac. Based in Robertet’s Paris office, he now carries that inherited craft forward while shaping an identity grounded in attentive listening and relevance.

Almairac draws inspiration from ordinary life: cooking, markets, travel, changing cities, and the emotional charge of familiar smells. He is particularly drawn to sandalwood, vetiver, orange blossom, mandarin, creamy woods, vanilla, and musk, materials that support a style balancing sensual warmth with lucid structure. His collaboration with Michel Almairac on Chloé L’Eau de Parfum Intense linked two generations around the house’s signature rose, while Chloé Le Parfum paired rose with orange blossom, tonka bean, and vanilla for greater depth and seduction. What distinguishes his work is its client-aware precision, natural-material sensitivity, and refusal to confine fragrance to age or gender.
