ICING SUGAR

Icing sugar in perfume suggests the sweetness of a fine dusting over a dessert. Also called powdered sugar, it is a confectionery-inspired accord rather than a defined aromatic extract. The impression may be soft and airy, but the name does not guarantee a dry texture or a scent lighter than caramel. Warmth and richness depend on the surrounding composition.

Snif describes its icing sugar accord as warm alongside chilled vanilla and whipped cream. Mochiglow places powdered sugar with lemon cream in an airy opening. These examples show different settings for sugary sweetness; cream, lemon and vanilla are not mandatory parts of the note. The label does not disclose a standard formula or prove that edible sugar is present. Look for the broader dessert, floral or fruity context to understand the effect.
