Sacred wood from Amazonia, the Palo Santo is used in numerous healing and afterlife communication rituals. It is during a trip to South America that the perfumer, Alexandra Monet, fell in love at first sight with this wood. Unsatisfied by the perfumery ingredient that was extracted from it, she re-created it thanks to a specific combination, out of respect for the plant and for its fragrance.
Without a doubt among the most ancestral raw material of perfumery, Incense and Myrrh fit perfectly. The Frankincense - real incense - releases spicy and mineral notes, while Myrrh delivers suave and warm notes, almost liquorish, which brings an Oriental touch to perfumes. Wood, for sure, but a creamy and sensual one. The Cedar wood can also recall a pencil lead, fresh and slightly regressive. A blond and resinous wood, with a strong personality.

Enthusiastic and spontaneous, Alexandra has a sensitivity that allows her to put in perfume her emotions. After being a student from the perfumery school l’ISIPCA, she has continued her career at DROM up until 2018. She enjoys the gourmet styles and the vibrant notes. Her favorite material is definitively Patchouli that she considers as a vibrant and magical essence. Beside all of this, she has also created scented candles for the Plaza Athénée hotel in Paris and for Arty Fragrances…
Her collaboration with The Different Company has begun in 2013 with the creation of 4 candles: Songe, Apesanteur, Nuit Blanche (Collection des Rêves) and Wood (The Modern House). She continued with our anniversary perfume and d’Adjatay, cuir Narcotique from the collection Juste Chic in 2016.
