The saliva’s lactoperoxidase system is also activated at the same time. This system also has an antibacterial, antiviral and antimycotic effect, which prompts an additional whitening effect. Glucose oxidase is a completely natural enzyme. Bees use a chemical reaction between sugar and glucose oxidase to protect their honey from germs and preserve it. What’s more: the transformation of glucose oxidase sets off a completely natural and very gentle enzymatic whitening effect.
