The legendary designer says, "I have had the privilege of being a member of the American Fashion community for many years and have experienced what the CFDA does for its members and the industry as a whole. Having lived and worked in each of the global fashion capitals of the world, I look forward to working with the Board of Directors to further the voice of American Fashion and its designers.”
Known for his amazing works at Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, and his own namesake label, along with his role as an award-winning film director (A Single Man, Nocturnal Animals), Tom Ford aims to continue to make leaps and bounces for the American fashion industry.
Diane von Furstenberg will chair the seat for one final year before stepping down, marking this as her 13th year as the chairman.
